As long as you keep the dead key around 10w, it doesn't get too hot either.but then, I'm not real long winded. For example, Cobra 29's will tune up to 120+watts with an RFX-75 on it.
Anyway i would recomend to anyone wanting a nice lil upgrade!!!!!!!!!!!!! )Ĭertain radios drive this little final replacement module very well. This is CEF 1012 normsr new net radio(was mine so she gets papered on the bench.LOL.
It is a very simple install into this radio very min on any mods needed to install. The result was extreamly loud audio, 2-3 watt dead key forward swing to 60 watts or so. Just got done installing this into galaxy 2527(RCI295013z). Magnum S-3, Magnum S-6, Magnum S-9 10 Meter Transceivers with main printed circuit board numbers 9821R21 Glaxay DX939, DX949, DX959, and Ranger 396, 696, and 966 (Mosfet Chassis Versions) Either you have a basic peak and tune done on your Cobra 29 good for say 20 watts. You will need an amplifier that can handle the power your radio does. Galaxy DX939, DX949, DX959, and Ranger 396, 696, and 966 (2SC1969 Chassis Versions) Since the radio now does 100-120 watts peak there is no way you can run a small amplifier that only adds 150 watts. Make your radio put out 75 watts - Make it SWING with the latest Power Mosfet technology.
It's is a low cost solution to replace bad RF driver and final output stages in other 10 Meter Amateur transceivers that used obsolete / discontinued transistors. The RFX75 can be bought as a replacement part.
It is our famous dual control echo circuit without any controls on the front panel. Retro-look red modulation lamp (with On/Off switch) flickers like the old neon lamps of the Fifties and Sixties. When switched off, both clarifiers are out of the circuit. The Coarse clarifier operates on both receive and transmit unless the SuperSlider switch is off. Our exclusive "SuperSlider" circuit maximizes frequency control by switching the Fine clarifier between Receive/Transmit and Receive Only operation or completely out of the circuit with one slide switch.Install : remove JP 32 replace with cap + side towards back of radio then solder the resistor across the leads on the underside of the circuit board. resistance value will determine dead key.
